I love World of Warcraft, but there's one major thing that it doesn't do for me. It doesn't fill my need to create characters with depth or variety. I try, but it's just not customizable enough. So, about once a year, I'll hop into another MMO for about 2 weeks to a month. Right now, it's City of Heroes. I'm hardly even leveling - I'm mostly making cool characters with cool powers and then testing them out.
Flipper Babies are still my priority, as far as my online time goes. If anyone needs anything in game, it would only take me a minute or two to swap out. I'm usually on chat, or you can text me if you have my number.
Also, if you actually want to do a run, make a post in the in-game events forum. I check these forums constantly, whether I'm at home or at work.
HAHAHA!!!! I love that movie............... "That's right you primitive screw heads this is my BOOM STICK!!!" I love that line, did you guys ever play City of Villians i liked that one..................
They are combined now. I essentially have both, but I've only made Heroes thus far.
Maybe when I'm happy with a super team and draw them up, I'll make a group of super villians. Oddly enough, in comics supervillian teams aren't as common as superhero teams. I guess villians are either so bad ass or just plain old smarter than heroes ... and so it takes a group to stop one man/being/robot.
Here's another character I made. It was originally a Nightbane character in the RIFTS world. He was part of a mercenary group with characters played by Jack and Mattie. Blake GM'ed it.
Wolfgang Aldemus Devonlark (minus his cape ... which I think characters can get at lvl 20 or something silly like that):
Kpax, I'm even more of an alt-oholic on CoH/CoV than I am in WoW. I can't seem to get a guy past lvl 9. It's just fun making toons and costumes, and trying out their powers.
Mattie, Which enchants do you need? I can put them on vellum since we don't seem to hop on at the same time, and everyone is afraid to hop on chat and say, "Monk, get yer ass in here!"
Everyone, I might even be MORE to and fro for a bit. My brother Jeff and his girlfriend Lori just bought a condo. They'll need some remodeling help. This week, I think I'll be installing track lighting in their kitchen and turning one of their walls into a breakfast bar. I know. I'm awesome like that. Okay ... I won't be completing the bar, just cutting the hole in the wall and finishing it.
Still, if I'm on chat and you need me, just yell at me.
Speaking of alt-oholism, here are a couple more toons:
Tox Frame (Spines/Regen Scrapper) I just wanted to make a big insect-y guy that shot spines out of his body. Yup, weird.
Mindtracks (Illusion/Radiation Controller) I know ... he looks more like he should be punching something or running fast, but the idea was that he uses a combination of science/chemistry and pieces of power armor to augment the energy waves around him and the electrical signals in other peoples' minds.
Because Gabriel Malkin (aka Curb/Migraine/Head Sniper) is a character I developed a long time ago, and has such history, I had to make his casual look, too. It's just as much a part of him as his costumed side. Often, he doesn't even use his costume unless he's doing a mission that he might not be proud of.
This is probably one of my favorite superhero characters I've made, because it was very much a collaboration between me and G to make his sniping power work the way I wanted it to, even though it might seem fairly straight-forward.
His powers are naturally different in City of Heroes, but in pencil and paper RPGs his powers look like this: "Run-of-the-mill" powers - mind control and telekinesis. "Special" powers - seeing great distances using ESP, and then performing a mental blast. His mental blast can be used at short ranges, too, but it works best as a sniper type of setup because his eyes glow very bright (enough to light a room) when he uses ESP or his mental blast.
The Tier 7 chest just dropped for me in Vault of Archavon! Woo - Hoo!!!
Monk, I sent you the mats for the super-duper-spiffy stats enchant. If ya get a chance in the next week, I'd appreciate it. There's vellum in the gbank.
Holy crap! City of Heroes just unleashed probably the coolest thing in MMO's. In their newest patch, they released the Mission Architect. It allows you to build instances, to include bad guys, boss villain, dialogue, layout, goals, etc. And then you can share them ... meaning anyone can play them.
