Today Blizzard posted a preview of some of the Argent Tournament updates, and it looks pretty cool. There are going to be two new Tourney-related quest hubs in Icecrown: a Cult of the Damned camp overlooking the Tourney, and a Vrykul outpost on an island to the north. The Black Knight will also be returning; I guess it was only a flesh wound after all.

There are also going to be new dailies and new rewards for players exalted with the Silver Covenant/Sunreavers, as appropriate. Silver Covenant and Sunreaver tabards, their ground and flying mounts, and a Shimmering Wyrmling pet are all mentioned.

Furthermore, those who have earned the Crusader title will get some more dailies, and some exciting rewards, including new heirlooms (!), a banner, a tabard that ports you to the tourney, a squire with a mount, and a Paladin-only charger mount.

the new squire will cost 150 Champion Seals to upgrade, will be summonable for 3 minutes every 8 hours, and will perform one of thee services: mail, bank, or vendor.

I'm SOOOOO happy that I didn't spend 100 champion seals on a mount.

Oddly enough, I would have if they didn't change the color of the raptor mount and offer the old one for gold instead of seals.

"some heirlooms available for purchase by those who had gained their Crusader titles. There was some hoping in the comments section for an XP boosting belt and/or chest, and your prayers have been answered.

Yes, Zarhym has revealed that you will be able to get chest piece heirlooms in patch 3.2, and that they will give a 10% XP boost that does stack with the boost from the shoulders."

That's crazygonutz!

They are also saying the dungeon/raid in Argent Coliseium will be similar to Ring of Blood and Amphitheater of Anguish.

Awwww jeahhh.

And they are setting it up to give you a certain number of attempts per lockout period. The fewer attempts it takes you to clear it, the better the rewards.

so to do the solo content for the tourney in 3.2 you have to have the crusader title? and the only way to get that is to get the achievment [Exalted Argent Champion of the Horde]? am i right?

You are right about how to get the title. As far as solo stuff, I know some things will require the Crusader title or exalted reputation with the Sunreavers, depending.

Here are some snippets from wow.com:

"There are going to be two new Tourney-related quest hubs in Icecrown: a Cult of the Damned camp overlooking the Tourney, and a Vrykul outpost on an island to the north."

"There are also going to be new dailies and new rewards for players exalted with the Silver Covenant/Sunreavers, as appropriate. Silver Covenant and Sunreaver tabards, their ground and flying mounts, and a Shimmering Wyrmling pet are all mentioned."

"Furthermore, those who have earned the Crusader title will get some more dailies, and some exciting rewards, including new heirlooms (!), a banner, a tabard that ports you to the tourney, a squire with a mount, and a Paladin-only charger mount."

I'm not sure if the new solo quests will require the crusader title, though the items might.
It seems more logical if they just required you to have the Champion of the Horde achievement (champion status with every faction).   Of course, by the time you get the 5 champions done, you'll be exalted with everyone anyway (except maybe if you're a DK?).

Edit -- didn't read monk's quotes close enough.  looks like you will need Crusader title and exalted Sunreavers for the dailies.   I wonder if I'm exalted with the sunreavers?

For DK, champion does not mean exalted. In fact, it barely means revered sometimes. To get exalted with Sen'Jin on Malaphim, I had to do all of Durotar and most of the Barrens, and then I had to save up all of my champion writs from Silvermoon and Sen'Jin and use them for Sen'Jin rep. I think I hit exalted right before I was done with the Sen'Jin 25 seals.

Things should go along more smoothly with Fu. I plan to finish the Argent stuff on Fu before Mal.

Just got Crusader on Monkfu. Was already exalted with Sunreavers. So I have everything available to me now.

I have 80 seals and the 150 seals for the squire upgrade is looking less and less enticing.

But the new computer plays the game so much better than the last. Went from low to low-mid settings to mid-high to high settings (except for things like ground clutter, which I keep low simply because I don't like it).

Edit: typed "marks" rather than "seals."

After the break, the new playable races of Cataclysm.

Our sources have told us that the new races of Cataclysm will be:

Worgen – Alliance
Goblin – Horde

I can't say that I'm the least bit excited about the goblins.  I guess they make sense, lore-wise, but, meh.

Maybe I'm just in a bad-mood, blizzard wise.  Weren't shamans supposed to get an increase to base health this patch?  0 hp for me.

Definitely feeling like 3.2 was a bad patch. You didn't get your hp and I do less feral damage now. Usually I'm excited to hop into the game on a new patch. Not so much with 3.2.

As for the goblins, I'd be more excited if it was still pre-BC, when I WANTED goblins to counter the gnomes in BGs. Now, it's too little too late. And when you compare goblins to the Worgen, it's just not nearly cool enough. The only upside I see is all the alliance kiddies that converted for Belves converting back to the alliance.

Until 3.3 comes out, it seems like it's a good time to try out a new game. Or two.

It's not all bad, I'm enjoying the druid.  And, really, I was pretty much done with all the solo content before the patch dropped.   I still need to try out the new BG.

Do our warcraft sigs from siglaunch auto-update now?  If not, then I didn't get any hp.   If so, it's possible I got a bit.  It was supposed to be about 450.   whee.

But, I love the new shammy drop-4-totems thing.  Spose I should try into a normal TOC 5 man during the short window that everyone is actually doing normals.

Speaking of the druid, levelling sucks from 20 to 30 because every god-damned mob you fight, no matter where you quest, flees when wounded.  ****in' runners.

Don't you have that glyph yet? Rake 'em all!

I want to do a ToC as well. I think it might be a good way to help build up gear for the Druid, since he is harder to outfit than the DK was. Getting to def cap isn't nearly as brainless as it was on the DK. But I'd like to plan at least 1 ToC with the few of us that log in occasionally. Filling 2 slots might be nicer than joining a total PUG, especially if there's a limit to how often you can do it.

I think the sigs auto-update, but they depend on wowarmy and how you log out, and sometimes don't update for a while. I think I made my Monkfu sig soon after hitting 80, or sooner, and haven't touched it since. But I don't really know my stats in caster form, and I often log out in caster form. I guess I need to get in the habit of going cat before hopping.

As for BG's, I think they will become my thing, so long as they are fun and I'm effective.
