Can I just say how happy I am that they're introducing the ability to queue for battlegrounds from anywhere in the world?

I hope it ports you back to your last location when the BG is over.  You could farm!  Or do dailies!

I got the impression that the wowinsider article was referring specifically to "join an instance and drop group" ghetto hearthing. 
I don't know about the "have a group leader queue for BG, leave BG and end up in group leader's city" thing.
